Could the immobilizer be jumped out instead of using a relay. In other words wrap the new key and ignition and tie the ends together. Will this do damage to the truck?

i know what your talking about in theory it will not do any damage but it could also cause the truck to lock up because it sees two keys at the same time.why do you want to permanetly bypass the pats.

It won't damage the truck but you need to use a non PATS key to get it to start. The vehicle won't start if it sees two transponders.

why would you do that ? it is so cheap to get a transponder and easy to install. Go to ebay i could allways pick one up for around $12.
