If anyone has done any starters on dodge rams you know about what seems like 200 ignition wires.  How are you guys isolating these? are diodes strong enought since they are small guage wires? surely u arent wiring up a bunch o' relays.  Usually we just tie them all together which isnt a problem, but we had a customer come back, the 1st who notices, if she starts her car, and turns the key back 1 click the car stays running. anyway its not a big deal, just see how everyone else is dealing w/ it.

Eric.

jsut one igniton wire man....its dark blue on most of them.  im not sure what year ram youre talking about.  no diodes are needed at all as far as i know. somoene correct me if im wrong.  ive done remote starts on a 2001 ram and a 99 ram.  never had a problem....i actually thought those were easy vehicles.  now these vehicles do have a second ignition wire and it is BLACK/ orange.  if you got any more specific questions, let me know...ill do my best to help you out.

The 2002 to 2004 have 2 ignitions and 2 accessories that need to be connected. The unit we use have 3 outputs, so we just add 1 relay for the 4th wire. No big deal. Are you wiring up more than 2 ign. and 2 acc? What do you use for tech info??

oh, ive never done one on a 2002 or up.   so both ignitions and accessories need to be tapped into from the remote start module?

I'm talking about the brand new ones, especially diesels, the bigger trucks w/ the hemis in the have a ton of pink w/ yellows, also a ton of accy. If you forget an acc. wire the heater will turn on, but not turn off on some of them too, we found that out the hard way.  anyway, wait until u get into the newer stuff you will see what I'm talking about.
