I have a 1998 dodge ram. The ABS and brake warning lights come on occasionally and stay on until the truck is turned off. They may come on again the next day or weeks later. Although the cruise light comes on when you push the button it will not set. Could these be related? Does it suggest a specific problem? Until recently I did not do a lot of long distance driving and did not even try to use the cruise control for quite some time so I do not know if the problems started at the same time or not. My thanks for any replies.

Cs your problem is your rear wheel speed sensor. This is a very common problem with dodge. The part is available at your dealer for about $40 and mount on top of the rear differential. It is a 10 minute swap and very simple to do yourself.I had the same problem with my durango. The reason the cruise wont set is because it is getting bad data from the speed sensor.
