Start initiate wire? Hyundai Elantra 2002 - Last Post -- posted image. I need to hook up the start initiate wire for add on remote start module. I have factory keyless/alarm, all locks open with one click of the remote and this module is to work with the factory alarm/remote.

The module can either use a negative or positive pulse once or 3x consecutively. My problem is that I believe the door locks work off of a one wire system that goes from neautral to ground. Basically if I unlock the doors it will only pulse once and will not pulse again until the doors are locked again. (Same for locking). Theres no clicking if you keep pressing it more than once. This prevents me from hooking up the start initate wire to the door locks. Any ideas? The only other remote function on the factory remote is the panic button, can this be used? The stellar impulse unit works great but is no use if I cant initiate it via remote. Thanks for any input!

How about hooking up to the light flash when you unlock the doors from the remote, this should flash the lights twice. It may work for the three times if you hit unlock and then lock real quickly.

Thats definetley an idea. Although I would probably have to lock then unlock as to prevent the alarm from holding out the starter. I never thought of that but will definetly try it. Very good idea!

I actually emailed support for this from the mfg autoloc.com .Heres what they wrote or should I say offered:

"You would need to add a aftermarket keyless entry unit in this

situation. I can offer our $90 dollar keyless to you for $30 dollars.
This is due to sales rep lack of vehicle specific knowledge".

I really dont wanna install a keyless entry and then have to deal with conflicts with the factory alarm, 2 remotes etc. so your idea sounds worthwhile. Thanks, I'll let ya know what happens.
