I've heard there is a  neutral safety switch on the car. Does anyone know if this is true and if so what color is the wire and where is it located. I don't want to forget and leave it in gear when remote starting. Thanks for the help

as far as i have ever known, they dont exist.

They exist on some cars, but info on them is not widely available. Recent manual transmission Subarus have them (I have a WRX with one). Might want to check out some forums that are dedicated to Hondas. At the Subaru forum I visit, the info is widely known. Other option is to buy a factory service manual, or download some wiring guides from Honda's tech info site, which will also cost money. I've heard of other cars having a wire like you are talking about, Mazda comes to mind.
