Anyone know where i can buy an Autostart door pulse inverter                 (Part# INV-200) in Canada?

Also, is there any need to hook up the wait to start wire on a remote start install on a 2002 Chevy Duramax diesel? You don't have to wait to start with the key, so why would a remote starter have to?

it says the wait to start wire is supposed to get hooked into the "wait to start" bulb wire, so if there is a light on the dash that tells you when your glow plugs are heated up and ready to go the wire would connect to that.

Robert Thibert and Carrady in Canada both sell the INV-200....when the truck is cold, do you not have to turn the key to the RUN position and wait until the "wait to start" light goes out before cranking?  any diesel I've ever seen does (no matter how old or new).  you need this to keep the starter from cranking before the glowplugs are hot enough....

autostart also has a "timing" feature which waits a default of 30 seconds before cranking....but what this does is cause the 30 second delay every time you start, not just when its cold.  when the engine is warm, it can crank almost right away...

No, when the truck is cold, you do not have to wait to start and there is no wait to start light in the dash. You just crank 'er up and go. However, a few of the wiring info sheets i have seen on these trucks list a wait to start wire, which is wierd because, like i said, there is no wait to start light in the dash of a Duramax diesel truck. Oh well, I'll figure it out. Thanks for the info.

I just put a remote start in a Duramax a few weeks ago and the wait to start light looks like a symbol for a coil, or a wire with a couple of loops, on the upper left corner of the instrument cluster. I don't recall the wire color off hand.
