98 explorer, adding subs with LOC

Im working on a 98 explorer. Adding subs using a line output converter. We tried tapping after the sub amp but it kept melting the cponverter because it was over 80 watts of power. We have most of the right side panel off and see 5 wires going into the amp, I assume 2 signal, power, ground and turn on....
Which 2 can I tap for signal!

I forgot to mention, it has a factory sub and amp(thats the amp with the 5 wires going to it.)
