99 Ram door locks

Hey guys, quick question to verify the work was done correctly and im not looking at a poetential problem. Diagrams i pulled up were a mess and after much digging I believe i got it hooked up correctly.

99 Dodge Ram w/o factory keyless entry

Wires comming off of the lock/unlock switch were ORANGE / purple and pink/purple. During lock 1 was 12+ during unlock the other was +12 but tieing my relays into these did nothing.

After further investigation i found a pink/green and ORANGE / green wire in the same kickpanel harness that measured the same readings above, but when 12+volts was applied to each wire seprately, the doors would lock and unlock properly.

I wired and connected my relays:

                      To door lock wire   |

                                 12+V    |                 | to alarm - output

                                         12+V     |

The door locks work. Just, when you use them, there seems to be a decent ammount of draw on the battery for the second or two that is pulses( and it does not do this when using the factory unlock switch~ Only with the remote keyless)

Both relays are fused~ So if this is incorrect, the worst it MAY do is blow a fuse.

Just trying to verify it was done correctly. If it was not, what should i have done differently so i can get it straight tomorrow.

Or should i have cut the lock/unlock wires... hooked 87 to the lock/unlock wire on the switch side and 30 to the other end?

Simply dont want to have hooked it up incorrectly, and there be a problem.

I'm pretty sure the system is 5 wire reverse polarity, I had a similar problem w/ a 2000 Dodge Ram, the relays were getting really hot. If  you figure out how to get them to work, post it in here. Thanks!
