I just bought a 2000 Land rover Discovery and of course there isn't a kit to install a aftermarket H.U. My local shops want to charge either $120 or $90 to make one fit and look good. Im thinking about doing it myself. Any help with that would be great.

Yes I have. I've checked the Metra website with no luck. I tried a google search and asked around on sounddomain.com.

I have 2000 Landrover Discovery II with the Harman/Kardon sound system. I am want to ad a sub amp and to 12's and was wondering if anyone knew how to tell which color wire would be the one I could use as a remote lead? I know it's usually the "blue" one, but I didn't see a blue one. I am going to use the stock sub speaker leads with a line-out converter to get the signal to the amps....

If all you need is a remote turn-on, just probe the wires behind the radio for your accessory wire, or go off the ignition harness.

That's what I have been doing, but haven't been able to tell which wires are which since the used alot of different colored wire combo's that what I am used to seeing. I guess I can take off all the doors and see what the colors are going to the speakers that way I can take those out of the equation.

I'm going to try and do it all myself this weekend. If I have any luck I'll report back.
