pick the alarm by the options you will use.....dont pay for something that you dont nedd.....an alarm is only as good as the install...........do a nice neat job and hide the wires.......if you do it yourself...you can big $$$$$$$$.... you can get a really good alarm with remote start for a few bucks>>>>around $200.00....of course that is not full retail....shop around...on-line...stuff like that....BE CAREFUL....make sure you buy from someone that will stand behind the product..
Good Luck

In the end it's not really the alarm any way.............. it's the installation of the alarm and how easy it will be to bypass. You can end up spending 2 X or 3X the cost of the alarm system to have it installed properly.

Go to a reputable shop and ask the installer's ( NOT THE SALESMAN ) what they do to ensure the immobiliztion of the truck as well as what kind of warranty they have on the parts & labor. Most places with offer you a 1 or 3 year on the alarms parts and lifetime on the labor. Try to stay away from BOX stores ( Future Shop, Wal-Mart, Best Buy, etc )........ I have heard and seen some pretty bad installs come out of these places.
