lolz... no i just wired it so that when i turned on my headlights, it would turn on (acting as normal headlights)... then if i flipped my highbeams on it will have the same power to the ballast thus still giving the hid power... just no difference in headlight brightness because it is not a dual beam kit... my car doesn't have daytime running lights like in canada...

that's what he just said - anytime your running lights (i.e. tail lights and front marker lights, not headlights) are on (which they are on anytime the headlights are on, reguardless of whether they are high or low beam).  the point is, what you need to do is instead of trying to hook those lights to the headlight circuit and overloading it, what you need to do is put a relay on the running light circuit, and feed the relay's switched power from a seperate and fused circuit going directly to the battery.  this is a super easy job - go to the section on relays on how to hook one up if you don't know how.

okay so fused 12v direct from battery and then switch is from headlight harness and then output to HID ballast.... i am pretty sure i got this right.. thanks.
