Hello All,

I've got a Crimestopper RS900 VI Remote Start to put in a 1999 Dodge Stratus and I was wondering if anybody knows if it is necessary to hook up the second accessory wire?  If the second accessory just powers the radio, wipers, etc. then I won't bother with it.

Thanks

According to my software, you have three ignitions and one accessory. As long as you have those four hooked up you should be fine.
Did you get a bypass?

This is a required connection for the accessory to operate properly. Use this diagram for hookup.

I've looked at several different internet sites with wiring codes for a 1999 Stratus and the color codes are not all the same. Any recommendations for a place that has highly reliable information?  Also, unless I'm just missing it, my RS doesn't have a ground when running wire.  Could I just tap into the first accessory wire to energize the relay coil?  In other words, accessory 1 to pin 85, ground to 86, accessory 2 to 30 and fused 12V to 87?

Thanks

According to Omega, the wiring is:
*Constant + 12V - RED (20A), RED / BLU (10A), PNK/BLK (40A) - IGN Harness
*IGN 1 - Dk Blue - IGN Harness
*IGN 2 - Dk GREEN/ Red - IGN Harness
*IGN 3 - BLACK/ Orange - IGN Harness
*Accessory - BLACK/ White - IGN Harness
*Starter - Yellow - IGN Harness
*Brake Light - WHITE/ Tan (+) - Switch above brake pedal
If you need any other colors, let me know.
You can also use the wiring database from this site:
Wiring Colors for 99 Stratus
Isn't the Yellow/Black wire from the RS900VI ground when running? I am pretty sure if you look in the manual, it has wiring schematics for hooking up 3rd IGN or 2nd ACC using that wire.
If you have any specific questions about that RS, let me know, I have installed a few of that model.
Good Luck!

GREEN/ orange. *3 Use positive (+) trigger thru a 620 ohm resistor to lock, and a positive (+) trigger thru a 2.7K ohm resistor to unlock. Must use relays. *4 In a three pin connector near the door jam. *5 Keyless entry module located in top dash area. *6 Lt. GREEN/ orange from driver's door or dk. GREEN/ orange from passenger or catch either at BCM located behind right side dash. Use a positive (+) trigger thru a 940 ohm resistor to arm, and a positive (+) trigger thru a 470 ohm resistor to disarm. Must use relays.
and the BLACK/ white is NOT needed for remote start.

BLACK/ orange and BLACK/ white are the acc. on a lot of dodge vehicles,   I have found a few that needed both to run everything, but on a lot of them you only need one,    jump the acc wire to constant and see what powers up.
