Hi there folks. Just in case nobody else has run into this, I thought to bring it up. I have just installed a RS82I remote start. My '94 Dodge Caravan started just fine, however continued to run the starter after starting. I froze outside in subzero weather trying to figure out what I did wrong. Finally I went to the Bulldog website, and lo and behold, a correction in the wiring in the manual. If anybody else you know buy's one of these units, maybe have them go to the manufacturer's website and have a look before installing it. As a Licensed Automotive Tech, I was very frustrated, and don't want anyone else to go through this. The website address is as follows. Take care, Dodge Boy

Most of the bulldog remote starts have a tach signal input wire. I'd suggest using it. As for the models without the tach sensor wire, I recommend not using them. Tach signal is also a good feature to have for carburated engines, let along fuel injection.

Hi there. Thanks for the reply to my post. I appreciate the input, and will remember it. I just wanted to clarify my prior post. There is mistake in the Bulldog instructions. The black and yellow wire, and the black and white are backwards in the instructions. Please go to the Bulldog website, and double check the colors. A tach/tachless installation has nothing to do with this problem I incurred. The black and yellow ( heavy guage ) is supposed to be for crank, but it's not. It feeds power to the accessories ( blower motor, etc.). That's why my starter kept cranking, even once the vehicle was running. The black and white ( heavy guage ) is for the starter. Please check the website to make sure. Take care, dodge boy.
