Had a DEI Valet 554R recently installed in my 2003 Ford F-150. After arming the alarm, the alarm triggers after 5 to 10 minutes and the LCD remote shows a flashing door. Any clue as to what is causing this and how to fix it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I would take it back to the installer but, he's in Phoenix, AZ and I'm now in Tacoma,WA.

Thanks, Dave

Dave

hi the gem module pulses the door every so often relay isolate and this will solve your problem pin 30 to one side of door trigger wire pin 87 to other side of door trigger wire pin 85 to door trigger on door side and pin 86 to 12v the trigger wire needs to be cut in half for this to work
good luck

No way, some one in phoenix did that? That is one of the most common vehicles to put an alarm in here, they should have known about it. At any rate, if you can find out what wire/s that were tagged for the door trigger it could help.

you could also double isolate the door trigger with diodes.
