sorry to repeat any old posts but a search didn't turn up anything for me. I had an 03 envoy in at work the other day for an RS, the install itself went fine except that the car would flash its parking lights, turn the accessories on but wouldn't even try to crank, it just sat in acc. and cycled 3 times.

The unit is a rattler 369D, not the best as ive had a few go bad on me, but I've never seen one go bad to where the car would turn on and not crank. We used a DEI 555L bypass and still nothing, what seemed strange to me is that I was under the impression that the passlock II would kill the car AFTER it started, and not stop it completely, but thats just what i've heard. Curious if anyone had any ideas or similar problems, bad bypass or unit? All of my wires tested for full voltage right at the harness connector so I know they were hooked up right, and all the wires that I tapped into were checked with a multi. before I soldered anything up, I'm completely stumped.

Check the wire that cranks  the starter

(should be purple).  Make sure it is on the starter side of the kill relay.  If it's not the ani-grind feature of the alarm will not allow it to crank cause the starter in interuppted.

doh, thats one thing I didnt do, shoulda thought of that too, never hooked a MM up to the started when i tried to remote start it, I know the connection was good but the unit. . .

The rattler doesn't come with a starter kill, It does have an output to hook one up to but we weren't installing it in this car.To my knowledge it doesn have any anti-grind, but that could be something I just haven't read about it, I can't imagine it having it for $99 though. Thanks for all the help by the way, this' a great site, the stuff I've learned from just browsing has been invaluable.
