Hello there,

I am installing a speaker enclosure in a 2002 Blazer.  I have an amp to push the box and just have a few questions.

1.  Will the colors for the wires (in factory stereo) be the same as teh list for a 2000 blazer?  (I hope they don't change them offen lol)

2.  Can I run all the factory speakers off the front channel and use the rear channel to run to the amp?  If not, what other choice would I have?

3.  How do I get the factory stereo out to do all this?

I am really hoping that you all, or someone, can help me with this.  I've done many jobs on old, beatup, doesn't matter how pretty it's done cars but I want to do this one nicely.  I've search the whole net and haven't found these answers.

Thanks in advance,

1.  They should be the same if the plugs are the same between years.

2.  No definately do not do that because your ohms will drop way to low for probably the amp to handle unless its one ohm stable but even then your sound quality will really really suck.  The option is to get a line level converter for RCA's so that you can grab high level inputs off the speakers to convert into RCA's.  That way you can use your rca's to give your amp the signal just for the sub and have your factory deck run your speakers.  The other option is to buy an after market deck and allow that to power your speakers and skip the whole line level converter and use the preouts from the deck to the amp.

3.  off hand I'm not sure how to take out the radio and put a new one in but you will need a dash kit, wire harnesses and possibly an antenna adapter.  I know if you ask a circuit city roadshop employee nicely on a non busy day they will either look it up for you or tell you how to take it out.

Hope that helps
