The only one I see currently on the U.S. market is the crude looking www.bustthem.com. I want a cellular-calling alarm to 1) Avoid carrying around "yet another" bulky appliance (Cell, Pager, PDA etc) and 2) Retain control over its function without paying 3rd party monitoring fees (this is 2004).  GPS locating capability would be a nice feature too (sms transmitted vector coordinates ?), but again, I don't fancy paying someone else to give me what a relatively simple device should be able to provide me directly. Appears we're behind the times in alarm technology compared to Europe/Asia who've had GSM cell dialing alarms for some time now.  Any alternatives out there ?

If I'm just pipe-dreamin, and stuck shopping a pager system, any sugestions on top names ? I'd like at least a half mile range, and don't require remote start or any other gimmicks. -thx

Yeah like one that calls you and says "come running some guy is waiting to be startled into shooting you"
