Here's a strange one. My buddy has a '95 Isuzu Trooper. The factory system has a cd changer. He bought the car used, and there is no cartridge with the changer. I have seen it, and the changer says Isuzu on it ( I didn't see any model number) It connects to the factory head unit. I know this sounds obvious, But the reason I mention it is that he took it to the local dealership and a local stereo shop to get a cartridge and they both told him that Isuzu didn't even make a system with a changer. They still say this after he SHOWED it to them. They say it has to be aftermarket with Isuzu emblazoned on it. I have taken out the deck and changer and looked and it is obvious that all wiring is factory, plus I've looked at the damn thing and you can just tell, you know? I know this whole deal is stupid, but the bottom line is, he just wants a cartridge for this thing, even though everyone says his changer doesn't exist.

Hey just an idea i'm new at the stereo part of things, (started a small shop in a smaller town) but i am a certified IT Profesional! All eletronic equipment is required by law to have a fcc id on it. So if all else fails you can take the unit apart and look at the fcc id. depending on the year it should look like

FCC ID: GMLNPB-1NB

(thats off my cell phone but you know what to look for), with the fcc id you can find what it is, who made it, when it was made, and most llikely the manufacturer of the product. (i.e. the replacement cartridge)

I never thought of that! I'll do so when I get it back. Thanks, Chuck
