has anyone else had problems with these? i do not use them personally, but over the years i have dealt with "tow-ins" quite often where the wires going to the capsul come off and then because the car more often than not cannot read two keys at a time will go into pats lock up and of course will not start. i was just making sure that i am correct in my diagnosis os these cars.

I hate the 555f's and the other eyes, antenna rings... but that would not cause a car to go into "lock out"

Both wires to the bypass would have to be intact, with positve to one, and a ground to the other, WHILE.. someone is using a key to start it.  So, in short... if a wire is broke, the bypass will not work (unless that wire is the ground, and it is grounded)  Even under the remote possiblilty of this happening, unhooking the bypass would cure the no start.
