Hello,
I need to know how i can add a single 2 door lock button to the 451m. I know the 3 wires going into the alarm are red <12v> green <unlock output> blue < lock output>. So I assume I need to make the button (-) so when I push it forward or backwards it will send a (-) signal to either the blue or green wire once ive tapped into them. Will I need to diode isolate the blue and green wires so I do not hurt the alarm unit.
I have the locks unlock and lock with the ignition. I just need something while I am stoped picking someone up or something like that.
Any help will be appreciated. thanks shawn

I imagine you could use the same relay setup I had to use. https://www.the12volt.com/images/actuatorrevpol.gif . I used a factory ford ranger switch which used a ground wire in the middle of the switch then hooked the lock and unlock wires from the switch to the lock and unlock output in that diagram. Works fine that way. I havent had a problem with the switches affecting the keyless entry, no diodes used here. The only thing I am trying to work out is that with this setup when you hit the unlock button on the remote, both doors will unlock at the same time. I prefer the drivers side to unlock first, then if I hit the button again, the passenger side unlock.

Wire the switch to be negative and just tie into the lock and unlock wires between the 451M and the alarm. Don't need diodes for this either.
