My new stereo system has poor FM quality.  I thought it may be distortion or a faulty ground, but when the deck, (sony mp70) is turned onto Auxilary mode, with the volume cranked, there appears to be no sound, besides a normal "FIZZ" of the speakers, as you would hear on any system when you apply power to them.           Also, faulty ground may be eliminated by simply playing a CD.  Everything seems clear as can be, with no exterior interferance.
Where can I pickup a new antenna, or antenna booster?  What brand(s), if there are any for my application, should I look into?  Is the antenna really my problem?

I would start will a new antenna, that sometimes will fix it. If not, it is probably an issue with your head unit.

You can pick up replacement "factory style" antennas from just about any auto parts store (they may have to order one though).
