Hooked up the 555c and the avital 4100 to the car. Remote starts fine like 8 or 9 times. Pull it back outta the shop and try it again, works fine. Now the customer is calling and saying the car starts for like a minute then dies. She brought it back in last week and i checked it out, everything worked fine, remote started w/o any problems. Now what i'm wondering is it possible that there could be a problem with the chip getting to cold? I live in ohio so right now were experiencing this slighty cold mornings. If that's the case, how should i go about fixing it?

When you say " .... starts for a minute " does that mean it runs for about 1 minute and then shuts down ? Or do you mean that it cranks for one second and then doesn't start and tries again ?

If it cranks and then starts and runs for about a minute, it's not the bypass module .The Immobilizer would not let you get that far as to run the car and have it running for a minute before shutting down. Re-learn the tach signal and you must let the vehicle reach the lowest possible idle before attempting to learn the tach signal. Try not to use the tachlessm ode if the remote starter has this feature as it is not very reliable ( in my opinion )

I ran into a similar problem with a sebring.  The key that was in the immobilizer was not coded.  Make sure you have factory coded key and not a copy.  I switched keys out and the problem was eliminated.
Do it right the first time
