Hello,

My command start failed and now flashes 9 times. I have seen that you just disconnect the battery terminal and this will clear the code.

This can't be the only way of clearing the code. Does anyone know if there is a way using the engine switch and the remote control. I have seen this done before but can't remember.

Thanks

Clinton

Command start? isnt that the type you can buy from AZ? Has the little valet toggle switch you mount under the dash and has a funky HUGE red LED on the side of the unit??? If i recall correctly, because I installed 2 of these... flipping the toggle switch on and off and pressing the button on the unit will do SOMETHING ~ Read your manual that came with it.. will detail how to do it. One thing i would question is ~ WHY is it going into service mode (or whatever it is doing) enough that you would need a quick way to get out of it?... just wondering is all

Mike,

The manual DOESNOT have any reference to codes or how to clear them. As for my truck problem it has been a very cold winter (-45degc) which took longer to start and is causing the problem.  I always have to pull the battery cable to fix it, but is a pain in the neck.
