I recently installed a remote start in a customers 04 durango, im getting complaints about the vehicle starting and then dying right away. the car came in once already and i tried a new tach source (injector) reprogrammed tach and everything was fine, until the customer picked it up and the same thing started happening, starting and dying, im assuming im missing a ignition wire or acc wire. however, i dont have any check engine light when remote start is powered up. My DEI software and Audiovox software were both conflicting when it came to the ignition wire information. Does anyone know for sure how many ignition wires need to be powered up and what color they are?Im trying to find this out in advance so when the vehicle comes in again i can get it working correctly
thanks in advance !

i would try adjusting your antenna loop for bypass aroung ing i just fixed one that did same thing when vehicle was warm it would start every time but then after it sat and got cold it would not.

my solution was to let vehicle set and readjust loop outside so vehicle would be cold

if wiring is the same as 03 i show 3 ing wires; blue; GREEN/ red; & RED / white

I had the same conflicting info from DEI and Audiovox on a car I did last week,Desighntech was the only company with the correct wiring info,so when in doubt get the DMM and check the ignition wires yourself!!

what did you use for a key did you use one of the aftermarket keys or one of the customers???

the 04 durango and caravan have a different protocol skim key and no one has the info yet at least howard keys doesnt. you will need to use a customers key to get it done right
