I installed a Hornet 553T on my wife's 1998 Blazer over a year ago. It has worked fine until about 2 months ago. It just goes off for no reason. It is saying a door trigger violation. Any of the more experienced help on here ever have this problem? If so, why do you think it just started a year after installed?

the 553T is a alarm/remote start, right? you might have a bad door latch. spray them down with a good coat of wd40 or something like that. after that open and close them a few times to work the lube in. see what happens??? let me know.

i also think the unit is fine, if you do still think the unit is bad try this too, diconnect the green door trigger wire and let it sit. if the alarm still triggers then you will know it is the unit. if it does not still trigger then its the truck and it will do the same thing with any alarm. dei make good products but they do still go bad but i have only seen stuff like door lock outputs, light output relays getting stuck and siren outputs going dead. and some of those problems can be traced to bad/wrong installations. be paciont. the most agervating problems are usaly somthing simple being overlooked. if you rip it out sent it to me, ha!
