Looking for good security

Hey guys, Well, It finally happened. My father in law borrowed my 87 ford cargo van left it unlocked in front of his house where , of course, someone noticed my nice panasonic stereo which is now gone. So I'm looking into installing a security system in it. I plan on doing it myself (my first time). I was wondering what everyone's opinion on the Crime Stopper CS-2003DC was. I'm lookking for something not too exspensive but functional and user friendly. If there is something better that someone could recommend, that would be helpful. Thanks in advance.Duane...
