I Have a 1994 Cadi Sedan Deville. I bought a clifford 3.5 alarm. I have a chip in my key and I want to know what i need to do to install this my self. I have installed  everything else in my car my self but not an alarn. I check out the diagram but i don't know about the key.

You have to buy a bypass module for vats.You measure the resistance of the chip on the key then you adlust the bypass module to match the measured resistance.If you follow the directions step by step you will do fine,you can get the bypass module at some Target stores and Auto Zone.

I found this on a link on ebay that shows a relay being used. Does that mean that i don't use a bypass module. Will it work?

yes you can do it with the relay,just measure the chip in the key,then buy a resistor the same value and follow the diagram.

you only need to do this if you are hooking up a remote start!

How do I measure the resistance of the chip in my Key? I Do have a multimeter. Thanks for tha help so far.

set the meter on ohms and put your meter leads on each side of the key chip,write down the reading at go to radio shack and show the guy and he will get you a resistor.The guy at radio shack will even measure the key for you if your not to sure your measurement is correct.
