I came across this board while searching for a wiring diagram for a Grand Caravan. I hope someone can help. I need the wiring diagram for the A/C controls on a 1997 Dodge Grand Caravan. The blower won't turn on, but everything else seems to work. Blower motor works when jumped to a direct power source. I need to know if the controls go through the PCM or the BCM.

Thanks for any help.

I can't remember how the heater control panel was set up on chrysler minivans, but I know on some other Chrysler products what they do is have the heavy gauge blower motor wires run directly from the heater control panel and the temperature/air direction doors and the defogger controlled in the BCM. Where are you jumping the direct power to the blower motor at?

I used a 12 volt battery from a cordless drill to check the blower motor.

I think there is a short somewhere because even with the blower turned off, the A/C and recirculate buttons can be turned off. This didn't happen before the blower stopped working. If you shut the blower off, the A/C light shut off too. Now I can turn it on and off without the blower motor running. I can also hear the damper moving when I move the control for the vents, even with the blower motor off. The controls seem to be getting power from an alternate source. I just need to figure out where.........
