does anyone know how to get the haze out of a headlight?

Internal haze or external haze? Usually it's external on plastic lenses. Some people have actually wet sanded the haze away, using 1000 grit and higher- up to 3000, then polishing with plastic polish. What happens is the UV protection built into the lens wears out, so you get a haze or yellowing effect. If you do this, the problem will continue, since there's no UV protection. Consider applying some protective film from www.xpel.com to the lights. They actually insure your headlamps from damage (up to 1000 dollars, or something rediculous). The film is clear and tough, and will provide UV protection as well.

The urathane protection is great if you have a new vehicle, I install llumar paint protection film on cars and I have done the headlights on some also. It is great if you want to proteact the lenses but if you have ever installed it you know how big of a pain in the ass it is. it is so thick and expensive I don't even upsale the headlight and fog kits anymore. I worked on a Lexus RX330 headlamp kit from EXPEL and it took me one hour and forty five minutes no joke. I have been installing front paint protection kits for 3 years now and I refuse to install lamp kits without getting a least two hours min. out of the deal.

If it is on the outside try some Mothers mag aluminum polish. It takes a little elbow grease, but it works.
