Has anyone had any problems with databus interface kits on trailblazers?
I tried a Crimestopper GM-U7 with an 02 TB LT. The passlock bypass works, but the alarm interface doesn't.
After going back and forth with the place i purchased the interface from, I was told that the problem was with the Trailblazer; trailblazers of the same year and trim can have different databus designs, which causes the module to be incompatible.
Anyone have any input on this? Or recommend a module that DOES work?

01 02 trailblazers I have had the same issue with.  Some of the older data interfaces will not work with the 01 02 Trailbalzer and Envoy for some reason.  Get one with the lates soft ware version and It should solve every thing.

Thanks for the reply whitey. I did exchange the original GM-U7 for another one. Software revision on this one is v2.7, manufacturing date is 11/03.
Was looking at bypasskit.com for a replacement. Also noticed Crimestopper has a "superbus" model, although at this point I think I'm going to stay away from CS.

We use the PLDATA and there is no problems with any of the different trims from the same model. Just make sure you get the latest model of any of the modules that you purchase and you should be fine.

I got a GMDL-BP and it solved the doorlock problem.
Unfortunately now it won't remote start. I swear this install is going to make me bald.
I can't figure for the life of me what the problem is. I have seen some conflicting wiring schematics; I have in the ignition harness:
Yellow=start
orange=accy
pink=ign1
white=ign2
I had the vehicle remote starting with a GM-U7. Could it actually be the BYPASS isn't working now?
I know the rs unit is pulsing +12v to the yellow, but it doesn't crank.
I stuck the key in the ignition, same thing. turned 1 click to the accy position, still no start.
Am I correct in thinking that with the key in the ignition the vehicle should start regardless of whether or not the bypass is working?

the brand of databus isnt seeming to make a diff but the combo unit has given me trouble ,but like said above the PLDATA works also the GMDL1 works and crimestoppers versions work just as good as trilogic and crimestopper tech is awesome just ask for jose or larry

Right now I'm trying to determine if it's the bypass or if I missed a IGN wire. Shouldn't the vehicle RS when the key is in the ignition?
I know, all semblence of logic says if it worked with one and not the other it must be the bypass. The key is what is puzzling me.
