This question arises from another post (alarm acting up) on a 02 Dodge Dakota how do I determine the correct wire for the dome light trigger, the wire that tells the alarm when the door is open. I really believe mine is miswired.

Been doing some experimenting I found a tan wire for the left door trigger and a tan/red wire for the passenger door trigger and a yellow wire has the delay function, it appears that I have to connect to the tan & tan/red, can I connect them together, do I have to diode them, need help.

Think I found what I need on the diode page, using the GM scheme, just want to be sure.
