what is the difference between fiberglass mat and fiberglass cloth? i went to home depot and the guy said mat is more for cars and cloth is more for sub enclosures. so does that mean if you have some dents you can use bondo filler and mat,,,,wheras if you want to build something custom like a sub enclosure you would use cloth? and to custom fit a body kit to your car from another car which would you use?

Chopped mat is basically compressed fiberglass. It doesn't form well to curves and round mold but builds very fast. Fiberglass cloth is woven fiberglass that forms well to curves but is normally lighter weight and requires more layer's to build thickness. Both forms of fiberglass have their places in an enclsoure fabrication, just depends on which one you want to use.
