there is also these 4 larger transistors in a row... i assume they power the different tones?  i want it to become only a single tone.. no stupid 5-tone crap.. anyway of doing this or i need to buy some siren?

Most of the newer systems use the CPU to output the siren tone and the siren itself is only the sound producer. To test this out hard wire the siren to a battery and if the siren outputs a constant tone then you have to modify the alarm CPU.

do you have a dei siren? if so there is 6 small silver leads on the board any of these can be cut to delete each of the sounds 1 through 6.

Hi 2000svm, the image below shows the 6 traces on the board of a 6 tone siren. To eliminate any tone you do not want, simply cut the trace, but do not cut the trace for the standard siren or you may eliminate the arm/disarm chirps.

So if you delete sound #3, it will go from #1 to #2 to #4 to #5 to #6 and then repeat?

Just wondering because I heard you can "customize" your alarm by deleting sounds.  But it's not really making anything sound different, it's just deleteing sounds.

one thing to also say to add to the volt if your siren is indeed a DEI brand any of the six can be cut without deleting the arm/disarm chirps. And also if this is a DEI siren the numbers are opposite of that of the volts diagram so the first sound will start at the right and go to the left . good luck
