i have a 96 acura integra ls two door. i have a problem with the drivers side door trigger and dome light. for some reason the door is not turning on the domelight when opened and it is not registering open when the ignition is on. i have checked all of the fuses and there seems to be nothing wrong with the passengers side or the trunk, they both work fine. any help would be appreciated.
thank you

Do you have that thing on your domelight that says "Door, On, Off?" If so make sure it's on "Door."

yes i have it on door, it works with the passenger door open. the passenger door will also set off the door open indicator on the gauge while the ignition is on and the drivers door will not. i tested the switch with a dmm and it is not recieving any power.
thank you

time for a new switch. it should only show 12v with the "door closed" or just push in the switch.
do it right the first time....less warranty work=more money!:)

switch the two switches.  if the drivers side works and passengers doesnt you know the switch is bad.
