Hey people what up... I just got my two new alpine type r 12's and I just want to get a couple replies on these if you have heard them before or what you think about them... I'm probably gonna go with a kicker 600.1 mono sub amp. I cant decide if I should port of seal cuz my box can do either... I listen to rap mostly... Please post your reviews.

Thanx

Go with a ported box unless space is an issue then go for a dealed box. Make sure that you wire the subs in parallel to reap the benefits of the amplifier. Are the Type-R's a DVC or an SVC ?

maybe you should decide how they sound to YOU since it's your car they'll be in, and you who'll be listening to them.
This is why it's good to audition speakers before spending money on them.

Yes, I have heard them before. They are a real good SPL subwoofer for the money that you spend on them. Wire the subs in parallel and run the amp in bridged 2 ohm mono load for the best results for an SPL system.
