Ok,i just put an Alpine 7893 in my 97 camaro.I have the monsoon system in it.Now with the alpine in it,the speakers want to pop, whenever i turn the volume up or down,or when  i hit a preset station button. It only does it when their is bass.If i am listening to a news broadcast it is fine.I hooked each speaker up one by one to see if i could isolate the problem, but they all did the same thing.I have tried numerous grounding locations, but no luck.I put the factory radio back in and the system worked fine.I used a scosche wiring harness, but i don't think that's the problem.Eventhough i was told to use metra 70-1858.Any ideas as to what's going on? If i don't figure it out by monday, then it's going to the shop. Thanks

ontiac uses a floating ground system on their speakers that may be causing the problem. From past experiences I had to re wire the system with new wires and it fixed the problem.

Bypass the amp in the passenger side of the hatchback.  I think its a waste to use that piece of crap anyway, especially with a nice alpine head.
