its the same wire..ign on the RS goes to ign in the car

So just to confirm according the VATS BY PASS module Resistor method using RELAY.......I take the 87 from the relay and hook it up to the IGN of the R.S unfused...............

Oh and guys lastly any specific wire guages to use when doing the VATS??

lastly are the VATS wires isolated in the orange and Black tubing or budled together with other wires?????

86: Ignition (12+)

85: Remote Start Output (12-)

Then strip one of the VATS wires (#1) and cut the other (#2)

87: Resistor and then to stripped VATS wire (#1)

87a: Key side, cut VATS wire (#2)

30: ECM side, cut VATS wire (#2)

It doesn't matter what gauge wire you use.

The VATS orange wire loom will run along with all the other wires that go to the column and then will split off on their own.

if youre not worried about someone stealing your car, then a quick fix would be to read the resistance of your key chip using a DMM, cut both VATS wires, and install a resistor of the same value as the key, looping the two wires back to the ECM side. This permanently defeats the VATS in your car. This also makes it cheap to acquire replacement keys as there is no need to have them cut at the dealership with a chip.

Thanks Guys.....I found a Orange wire.....like siamese twins....its actually 2 wires but looks like one wire. The wire looks similar to a IDE Cable in a computer but smaller. It goes into the IGN harness and when going into the harness u see it look white. Just before entering. IS THIS VATS????

The IDE looking cable does not consist of the VATS wires...but the VATS orange wire will run along side it and then change directions of the IDE looking cable once it goes under the dash. ...and yes, there is actually two very small white wires inside of the orange wire...
