the tach wire is connected correctly, it is the blue wire in the 2 pin connector by the distributer. no it is not learned because you need the car to start to learn the tach. the car will not start with the key. it just cranks over.

sounds like somewhere along the way your main ignition wire (BLACK / YELLOW) has been severed, or maybe even the main ignition fusable links have blown....need to do a double check on your wiring.
is there +12v on the ignition line when you turn ignition on? do the lights on the instrument cluster light up?

hi mistahmac,
Did you by any chance disconnect the main connector at ignition coil to do connections or tests and forget to plug it back?
....seen it . . . done it. . . . Starting problems -- posted image.

Sounds like you may have blown a fuse during the installation process, check all your fuses, especially under the hood. Also, you could have cut an ignition wire instead of the start wire, this could also be the culprit. Hope this helps.

Take out your DMM and test all ignition wires as well as your constant wire. Sounds dumb, but your injectors may be flooded as well. ( Just grasping for possibilities ).

on some hondas, the distributor just suddenly stops working, (goes bad)

you may want to consider that, after you run out of ideas,...
