Im am thinking about removing the external door handles of my Integra and using the factory alarm/keyless entry to unlatch the doors, and have several questions:
I assume the factory "unlock" solenoids are not powerfull enough to unlatch the doors, but can I just use the existing wiring to drive larger solenoids?
Are there any space issues with mounting larger solenoids(I haven't looked inside the doors yet)?
Can anyone suggest the required solenoid pull for an application like this?
Will I need "poppers" or do these latches have enough kick by themselves.
(My biggest problem is I don't currently have access to the car, it is in a shop about 100 miles away.)
I would appreciate any input from someone who has tried this sort of thing.
     Thanks in advance,
     Dan

well.... just normal trunk release solenoids should work fine, it's a honda.     as for the doors, you will need poppers, just test pulling the door handle fron the outside once, then try to pull the door open, you'l notice they will open a crack but will not move any further (you know when you close it sloppy and gotta give er the old hip check).

Thnx,
