Does anyone have or used the VRX935VD unit by clarion?  How does it compair to alpine or pioneer?  Is it worth $1000 bucks

Hey, I have the Clarion 935VD and I love it.  I have seen the Alpine unit but not the pioneer.  The main difference between the two is that the Clarion is touch screen, unlike the Alpine.  I like this because it does not clutter the front with buttons and makes things a lot easier to run.  I have multiple pieces with my 935, like satellite radio, changer, 5.1 dolby, and tv tuner.  I love Clarion because of the Ce-net.  You don't have to wire anything, just your unit in the dash.  Every other accessory from Clarion is powers thru Ce-net, just plug and play.  No finding a ground, +12V, etc, just plug and play.  Makes installation a zip, and keeps things clean.

As far as sound quality, I have a multi channel amp pushing my components, so I don't know how the Clarions internal amp sounds.

The 935 is easy to operate, looks killer, and you can even operate it with the screen folded into the dash.

The only thing is that you cannot plug navigation directly into the unit.  Clarion uses the Navi PC, a completly different set of components for its mobile navigation.

Other than that, I love the piece.
