i have the kappa 5x7. i am running them off an older alpine. i love them they are amazing. i can't wait to get  an amp for them. if you are looking online for the speaker, check out www.ikesound.com . this is where i got mine. as far as what amp you want, i couldn't begin to give my opinions as to what to get. alpine has some good amps though.

Why not go to a component system? You will get a lot nicer sound out of this then you will out of any 5x7's.
