Ive seen some talk before on topics where people say that w7's didnt hit how they expected or didnt give out enough bass. This weekend a guy had me sit in his truck and he had 2 w7 10s with a memphis 1001 (i think thats the sub but i know it was memphis and 1000 watts) and it hurt. The subs pounded. When the bass really hit it made it feel like i couldnt breath, talk about feeling it in ur chest. Just wanted to say that.

Well as they say install is everything. He must of had a very nice box setup sorted out. And very well thought out. Cause i'm sure you can't just wack them in and hope for the best that is probably where ppl are getting caught out.

It is all in the install, you can't expect to guy out and buy a Q-Logic box at best buy and slap the subs in there and expect it to sound good. If you are going to drop the kind of cash to buy W7's you might as well put them in the correct enclosure and that usually means a customer enclosure. I have on 12W6v2 being pushed by one JL 500/1 and people cannot believe that I only have one sub in my trunk and I'm only pushing 500 watts to it. Of course I built my box and took the time to do it right, the right enclosure makes all the difference.

My friend has one 12" w7 in his mustang gt in a custom ported box. It is very loud and sounds great.
