Im installing a system into my Alero and I want to keep the factory HU.I know that I can tap the remote wire into the ignition wire, but I was wondering if anyone knows what the wiring diagram to see if the stock HU has a remote turn on wire.
Thanks,

if you have a Bose system with the amp in the trunk (other GM vehicles have this, i'm not sure about the alero though) you could tap into the amp's remote turn on wire.  use a digital multimeter to check for voltage.  i'm assuming since you're keeping the factory head unit, you're actually only installling a sub?  ifso, then all the connections would be right in the trunk(except for power).  you could tap into the rear speaker leads for signal and amp for turn on.  of course, if you don't have a Bose system - this posting just wasted your time. sorry!
