what is the difference between acetone and paint thinner? is paint thinner ok to use in place of the acetone bc i have some paint thinner in the garage.

Yeah you can use it no problem (it says so on the can)

yes i am working with fiberglass....starting to i should say. i plan to learn as much as i can and so far i have learned ALOT!!! i just want to rest the brush in the paint thinner so it doesnt dry out.

im geussing that no matter what the brush is gonna harden even if i leave the brush in a bowl of acetone overnite

no u can leave a brush in a cup of acetone overnite and it will not harden. its a lot better if u put the brush in and then cover it with some kinda wrap so the acetone wont evaporate so fast.

dream it, build it, fiberglass it

acetone will evaporate extremely fast..i use mineral spirits... it does fine for me...at least for the day...i usually trash the brushes anyways...
