I need to find a wire that is ground when truck is shut off and floats when engine is running for an alarm display (without alarm system)
can't seem to find it in diagrams from chilton or on this forum - I thought I heard somewhere that it was in the ignition switch harness.
I dont want to install another switch for this.

Just use the ignition wire behind the deck or off the stearing column. I have done it plenty of times, no problms.
