My 1998 Camry have Amp. between speaker and head unit.  I would like to replace the head unit with a new CD player. Attached is the wire harness diagram. At this diagram P500 is the connection to the Toyota power amp. There is audio +'ve pin #6(FL), #7(FR), #14(RL), and #15(RR), but I do not found the audio -'ve pin. Could it be the pin #11(GND) or pin #12(S.GND)? What is different between pin #11(GND) or pin #12(S.GND) ?  All FL,FR,RL, and RR share the same -'ve pin?

To all professionals! you help is very much appreciated.

right behind the radio to the right is two plugs going into yhe amp. Unplug it and you can plug a toyata harness right into it and bypass the amp

Thanks for your replay, but I am not going to bypass the amp. I want my new head unit connect the amp. so, I want to know the details of this Toyota amp. What is pin #11 (GND) and pin #12 (S.GND) different?

I have a 98 avalon and I had the same problem.. Your system is probably running a JBL Premium audio or something like that.. You'll need a 15 pin harness to connect to the head unit harness BHA8110 and a VEN 4.5 wire to wire line output converter.  The VEN 4.5 will let you adjust gain settings for each speaker so that they won't come out too loud or something like that..

Hope this info helps...
