If the central locking on my car is active and the car has'nt been used for couple of days the battery goes flat.

If the central locking cercuit fuse is ramoved and each individual door is closed manually (since the central locking is off) there is no drain on the battery.

I am the second owner of this car so I have a niggling suspicion that there might be a tracker installed by the previous owner and it is draining the battery. If there is such device where would I look for it? or something else in the car is faulty if so what might that be responsible for the drain.

Any advise will be appreciated.

You will need to get a hold of schematics for your car. You must trace where that fused circuit sends power to and isolate the component consuming the power when the ignition is off. If the vehicle has a tracking device in it, it could be installed anywhere. Patience is required to locate the problem. Use an digital meter to determine the fault. Set it up as an ampmeter. The normal allowable limit for a battery draw is no more than 40 milli-amps for the whole car.

Sparkie your bang on thats how I would do it. But in some case's you can have a 50 milli-amp on the bat. What ever you do do not use a test light to check for a draw.
