does anyone know how to increase the range of the remote for alarms. i've got a viper and the range use to be great, but i've had it for a few years and now the range is very short , does anyone know how to fix this or why it's like this now?

thanks

You may need to get a new remote if changing the batteries dont work.

check for a poor ground in the vehicle,  the majority of poor range issues we see here are actually a poor ground problem....

are both your remotes having the same range? maybe one is going weak. IF both are low-range then it also could be possible that your antenna in the car's transmitter might have moved or fallen or got cut out as well.
