Its all personal choice bro. Adding a sub to a single sub will give you a 3db gain in SPL. More cone area=more SPL. Which subs you are getting are also very important.

I don't want to get the most expensive sub but I don't want to get the cheapest. What's a good 12 sub thats around 800 watts?

It also depends what you mean by "better sounding."  In my experience, the best SQ is generally from a single 10" or 12" driver in a sealed enclosure run at 8-ohms and driven by a 100 watt McIntosh class A amp... but if better sounding to you means teeth-rattling SPL that can sterilize roaches at 50 yards, then go for the largest number of big drivers you can fit into your vehicle and a Godzilla-tron amp.

Depends on how much room, quality of sound, and how much power you can afford to send them- amp and car electrical.

I need quality equipment, feel free to donate.

I don't like the vibrating bass I just like the big thump kind. On a good amp can u turn the vibrating bass down?  Duel voice coil better than one?

Try using something like a single Alpine Type R or JL Audio W3v2 12" sub. This would give you some volume but still have some sound quality. If those are too expensive (the Type R is around $199 and the JL is around $180 or so) then you could try Alpine's Type S 12" sub also. Pair any of these with a good amp from someone like Rockford Fosgate's Punch P3001 or Alpines MRD-M300. JL Audio W3v2Alpine Type SAlpine Type R, Alpine MRD-M300Rockford Fosgate P3001
