I want an extra Accessory/Ignition supply from a remote start unit that provides only 1 Ignition voltage. Will using a relay be sufficient? I plan on the following:
using SPST relay:
Pin 85 - Ground
Pin 86 - From Ignition #1 Output from RS unit
Pin 30 - Fused Constant 12V
Pin 87 - To Ignition #2
   if using SPDT then
Pin 87a - dummy
Will this be enough? My vehicle needs 2 supplies whereas I am getting only 1 from my RS unit.
Thanks
Mark

Mark,
That is exactly how you wire it. Make sure you use a relay for both ignition wires. The two relays will be wired the same way. The ignition output of the RS will be used only to switch relays.    If you use the ignition output from the RS to run one relay and power up one of the ignition wires when that ignition wire powers up by the factory system it will feed back and activate the relay. It is always a good idea to isolate.   Good Luck!!

JakeJ,
Thanks for telling me this! I did not think about it and would have made a mistake. It is always great to get ideas from others. Thanks again,
Mark

Ok here's a diagram I made.

Will this be ok or does anyone have any oppositions/suggestions to improve on it? If nobody finds a fault with it, I am going to implement it next.
